Jackson Tennessee 1st Quarter Sales Down over 100 Units.

Sales of residential property in Jackson, Tennessee and Madison county for the first quarter have dropped to the lowest level in years.  This is no surprise with consumers uneasy feeling about the economic outlook and the rise in unemployment.  While unit sales have decreased, the average sales price also dropped 4.4% to $121,939 compared to $127,617 in 2008, and $125, 854 in 2007.  Sales reached a peak in 2005 with unit sales of 556, with an average price of $131, 217.  The units sales have been steadily decreasing since 2005, so we have to assume that hopefully the bottom is here.  Since 2001 the lowest average sales price for the first quarter was $103, 651 in 2003.  So we have seen an increase in average price from that point of 17.6%, re-enforcing the long term benefits of home ownership.

Coldwell Banker Releases 2009 Advertising Campaign

Coldwell Banker just launched the new 2009 commercials.  In sticking with featuring Coldwell and Banker, the ads are to reinforce that we have made it through 103 years as Coldwell Banker, and seen up and downs.  Some markets have taken it on the chin more then others, and the real estate market is expected to stabilize and move forward.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate Now recently was honored with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award for the product category with 1 to 14 employees.  The Pinnacle Award is a program is to recognize those businesses who have risen to the pinnacle of business leadership among our local chamber companies.  

Mark Givens Joins Coldwell Banker Real Estate Now

Mark is the newest member to our Coldwell Banker Real Estate Family. Mark's focus will be on residential sales, representing both buyers and sellers in the Madison and surrounding West Tennessee counties.

Prior to joining the company, Mark spent 16 years managing an Internet company he founded that specialized in the development of custom websites for clients around the world.  In addition, Mark is an expert in SEO, blog management, graphic design, and web based application programming.  His experience in this field will also benefit both buyers and sellers. He has called the Jackson area home for a total of 9 years now. "We are glad to have someone of this caliber join our team", said John Orr, Broker.
